Dance With Me
Learn to dance with a parent
A class for 2-3 year olds with parent/guardian participation. The focus of this class is to introduce toddlers to music and dance. We use loads of different props including scarves, balls, hoops, tunnels, wands and much more. Each term is run with a different theme so the songs, movement and activities reflect the theme. There is no set uniform for this class. Many of the little ones wear dress ups, frilly skirts, fairy dresses or just leggings and a t-shirt. Ballet shoes are recommended.
BJT Combo classes
Master different styles in one class
A combination of three styles of dance – ballet, jazz & tap. Students will learn techniques from all three genres/ styles of dance.
Learn tricks in a safe environment
Our acrobatics classes focus on developing flexibility and strength. Students will learn basic contortion and acrobatic tricks such as front and back walkovers, handstands, cartwheels and tumbling. Dancers who need work on their flexibility should consider adding acrobatics to their class schedule.
For kids with attitude!
Modern and dynamic, hip hop is certainly addictive. This powerful, high-energy dance style relies on a punchy beat and a little bit of attitude! Children and adults will master individual moves before learning to build up to longer routines. The Hip Hop craze remains popular around the world and students will love these dynamic classes.
Contemporary/ Lyrical dance is a dance style that embodies various aspects of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and modern dance.
Lots of different types of music are used for contemporary or lyrical dance. Often music with lyrics are used to inspire the movements. It is also a very precise dance with the dancer’s movements portraying the emotion and story of the song.
